When can I host my wedding?
The Barn is a seasonal event venue available from Mid-April until Mid-Late October.
Can I come see The Barn?
Yes! We would be happy to give you a scheduled walk-through and answer any questions to help you make your decision to book. You may book your walk-through by contacting our Wedding & Events Coordinator at email@example.com.
How do I hold a date?
To hold a date you need to contact our Wedding & Events Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org. If the date is available, we will offer a 7-day soft hold while details are discussed and a contract is generated. A hold is not secure until a signed contract is returned with the required deposit. In the event that another party is interested in the venue before we receive these items, we will offer you a deadline to submit the contract and deposit before releasing the hold to the other party. If the date you requested has an existing hold we will offer the previous party a deadline and then contact you when the deadline is over.
When can we start decorating?
All decorating typically takes place on the day of your wedding as early as 7am (or earlier if necessary). In some occasions, decorating can be completed the night before your wedding.
Do you have a sound system?
Yes, we have a full in-house sound system that your DJ may use if applicable. We also have two (2) wireless speakers that may be used outdoors for the ceremony and/or cocktails.
Are pets allowed to be apart of the ceremony?
Yes, pets are allowed to be part of the ceremony but must be leashed and cleaned up after.
Can two weddings happen simultaneously?
No, we will never book two weddings on the same day. You have exclusive rights to the venue during your event.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
Yes, currently we have a portable ramp allowing accessibility to The Barn, but we do not have an accessible washroom at this time.
How do I secure my wedding date?
A non-refundable deposit/rental fee of $3500+HST and a signed contract is required to secure your date.
Can we have a rehersal?
Absolutely, we include a complimentary rehearsal run through at a time arranged between yourself and our Events Coordinator.
How far in advance should I book?
It is hard to say, but we always encourage the sooner the better. There are months where we have a full calendar a year in advance and months with openings up to a month prior.
Are there any additonal fees?
Entandem (a RE:SOUND & SOCAN company) requires an additional licensing fee for all events using live or recorded music $187.91 + HST (subject to change).
What is the restroom situation?
We have fully updated Men’s and Women’s facilities.
When do I need to have everything out of the space?
Our staff completes all teardown and cleanup at the end of the evening. Any decorations/belongings brought in by you will be set aside for pick up on the following day.
Can I use my own caterer?
No, all catering is done in house by our professional chefs. Some exceptions apply in terms of dessert/wedding cake, discuss these exceptions with our Wedding & Events Coordinator at email@example.com.
Can I drop off items the week before?
Yes, we’d be happy to store any of your decorations up to a week before your wedding day in our locked cellar.
Are there decoration restrictions?
Yes, we do not allow any open flame candles inside The Barn. No glitter, confetti, rose petals, rice, etc. may be used on the grounds.
What is the lighting like?
We have industrial style lighting, 3 beautiful chandeliers and cafe bulbs. Almost all of our lights are on their own dimmer switch to allow you to darken or highlight any area of the space based on your preference.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is not allowed inside any of the buildings or on the Garden Patio. Smoking is only allowed outside in the designated smoking area to the south of The Barn.
What is the venue capacity?
We can seat up to 200 guests indoors with a DJ and/or band and dance floor. Reception only capacity is 360 guests.
Are tables and chairs provided?
Yes, we provide custom made harvest style tables and industrial-style chairs for your reception. We also provide all dinnerware, flatware, and glassware.
What is the parking situation?
We have a large parking lot to the south of The Barn for all of your guests to park their vehicles.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes, The Barn can accommodate most dietary restrictions.
What is your policy with the L.C.B.O.?
Exeter Golf Club’s operations are a function of L.C.B.O. and operate in accordance with its laws and regulations.
